New bedroom inspiration!

A couple of weeks after returning from America I will be moving house! We'll be staying in the same village, just downsizing and starting afresh - I've been getting really excited about planning my bedroom decor and decorating from a blank slate, so far I've decided that I want my walls to be white and my carpet to be a greyish colour: everything else will be pastel shades of pink, lilac and blue with fairy lights, cute trinket boxes and pretty prints! I'd really like to fill my door with inspirational quotes and photos, plus, my bedroom will have a little Victorian fireplace so I'd love to fill that with lanterns and flowers :) Obviously this is a long term project that won't all be done overnight, I'm just going to collect things as I go and start some money-saving DIYS - bunting can be homemade and £650 for the lilac chest of drawers is maybe a bit steep! I'll have to get my paintbrush out...

I was also wondering if anyone knows where I can get bed linen like the design shown in the tumblr image above? I'm really struggling to find any bedding I actually like!

I'll be posting some NYC themed posts soon! I'm just unsure at the moment about how to organise my ideas :)

Love Ellen xx

  10. Gorgeous inspiration, I've never had control over my room at home because my mum's such a design freak she chose everything, but I'm moving out next year and then I'll be able to create my own room without my mum meddling! Although it will be uni halls so I won't be able to paint the walls or anything but I'm still excited! And I totally know what you mean about the nose ring thing I was so nervous before I got mine done because I have quite a big nose and I thought a little stud would look ridiculous and lost or something, but the only thing you can do is go for it! Thankyou for your comment on my blog, I'm now following :)
