Rook piercing..?

Images from tumblr and weheartit

I was planning on taking outfit photos today but I woke up to a scene from some kind of 'end of the world' movie - torrential rain, countless power cuts, hail the size of golf balls, thunder, lightening, car alarms sounding and lights flickering on and off...I was home alone and pretty much scared for my life! Plus, IT'S JUNE! Whatever happened to summer eh?

Annnyyways I had this post saved as a draft because I wanted to know if you guys have had any experiences with a rook piercing and what you thought of them. I was going to get my tragus re-done and then I started to look at alternatives and I love the way the rook looks with a bar. I prefer the positioning of the first image and think it's just something a bit different - loads of people now seem to have their tragus done and it was getting a little annoying when it came to wearing headphones.
However, I've heard that for certain people the rook piercing can be a bit of a pain in the bum and it can be quite painful...hmmm decisions decisions...

Update - 25/06/12

My favourite nail polishes at the moment - Lemon Meringue and Indian Ocean by Models Own. Indian Ocean is the prettiest colours I can think of all rolled up into a gorgeous shimmery bottle of loveliness - it looks cool over 'crowded' by UO, I laarrvve it!
Buying things for America-land! The bikini and the sunglasses are from New Look, the shorts from Miss Selfridge and I found the tee in the Topshop sale!
A sneak peek of the things I will be selling soon - before they got studded and embellished!

Also this week...

Youtube videos - having a cold (boo) - choosing my A levels - not getting sick! - making a pact to take more photos with the boyf - getting excited about America - exam relief - making friendship bracelets - to do lists - (attempting to) workout and be more healthy - having post ideas!

What've you all done this week?

Dustland Fairytale

Bag - Topshop
Shoes - DIY (see here)
Jacket - Topshop
Shorts - Topshop
Crop top - Topshop
Bracelet - Miss Selfridge
Studded friendship bracelet - DIY

This outfit is probably my favourite at the moment - I would wear it every day if that didn't make me look like a weirdo...recently I've been loving crop tops with highwaisted shorts and I'd really like to get a highwaisted skater skirt to throw into the mix. I'm slightly ashamed at the amount of Topshop here but ah well, it's my favourite shop and I'm so happy I got my backpack! It's so cute and will be really useful for flying to America in 3 weeks! Eeek so excited :3
I made my friendship bracelet last night (I used the diamond pattern in this tutorial), I chose to use pale yellow, lilac, pink and light blue and added some studs - I absolutely love it! I'm tempted to make more and stack them for summer.
Oo and I'm torn, should I stud the shoulders of this denim jacket or leave it alone? I think it'd look awesome studded but would it make it less wearable and more likely to go out of fashion? Hmmm let me know in the comments which I should choose!

I hope you're all having a wonderful week!

Don't forget to spread the loveliness!

Hello stranger

Jumper - Urban Outfitters
Velvet leggings - Ebay
Rings - Aldo
Nails - Lemon Meringue by Models Own

Woah it's been a long time! I'm super sorry for not posting in so long, but I guess I've had a good excuse - I had 4 GCSE exams last week: Maths, History, Biology and Chemistry! I had barely enough time to revise, let alone blog, but they seemed to go reasonably well so woo! I only have 1 left and that's Physics on Wednesday, so I shall be a better blogger from then on :)
Anyways I thought I'd show you all the kind of outfit I wore to my exams - I was only going into college for a couple of hours so I wanted to be comfy but relatively stylish with little effort. I love the contrast between the greeny blue jumper with my lilac shoes - I still get a lot of questions about these when I'm out and about and I laarrrvee them!
Last week I had a strange desire to own some yellow nail varnish, I like contrasting my nails to my outfit and lately I've been wearing a lot of pastel blues, lilacs, pinks and greens so I wanted something different for my nails. I have to say I'm completely in love with this colour, it's like a light neon yellow and it's so bright and looks amazing with pastel tones!

Thank you all for bearing with me and remember to Spread the Loveliness!

Get in my wardrobe #9

Tee - Zara (photos from projectthree65)
Bras, Highwaisted Jeans and Backpack - Topshop
Rings - River Island

Pretty, pretty, pretty! I love Topshop's pastel underwear range - the colours are so beautiful and cute, I think a bra like this would look cool under a tee like the Zara one, with low armholes so you just get a flash of the lace and of the pastel prettiness: along with the skull drawings it'd be the perfect balance between girly and grunge. I also love the sequin bra but for £40 I might as well just have a go at a DIY...I already have the sequin fabric!
You may have seen in my last post that I've been lusting after this backpack for a while now...I've been loving the backpack trend but never any of the designs (until I saw this one that is)! It's so cool with the dark denim and the studs and would be great for college and easy to carry when I travel to America - what more could a girl ask for eh?
Last but not least, the wash on these high-waisted jeans is amazing! I tried on the shorts in the same colour a few months ago and they were an odd fit and really didn't look good, also, next year my college is banning shorts (cue very sad face!) so I need to start stocking up on alternatives! I'm intrigued to try these jeans on, the fact that they're high-waisted makes them even more appealing...I actually think they'd look awesome paired with all the items in this post!

I WILL TRY AND DO AN OUTFIT POST THIS WEEK, I PROMISE!
