Currently Loving: Tribal Septum Rings

Images via Vidakush

Ever since these photos popped up on my Instagram I've been a bit obsessed with this look. It's not something I would usually go for but I just think these tribal septum rings are so unique looking, I love how intricate and pretty some of them are and the contrast this then throws up to the stereotypical idea of body jewellery. I've been looking online and have my eye on this one and this one and I might just go for it, they're clip-on so what could go wrong?! It's just like a piece of jewellery for your face…

Part 2: Satin & Stripes

Top - Gap
Shorts - Oh My Love
Necklace - Zara
Shoes - DIY
Sunglasses - Forever 21

First things first, I GOT INTO MY DREAM UNIVERSITY AND I'M MOVING TO CENTRAL LONDON IN LESS THAN A MONTH! ARGHHH!

So yep, I got the A-Level results I needed and in a few weeks I'm off to City University London to study Journalism. Hopefully I'll still be able to post regularly and things, I'll have to quickly make a friend who can take outfit photos for me, but apart from that my posting should stay fairly frequent. I've already started planning for Freshers and buying my tickets to events so if any of you guys are at a London university let me know!

Anyways, this is the second instalment of my 'one twoosie, three ways' series, just showing how I'd style the highwaisted pink satin shorts that are part of the Oh My Love set. I absolutely love pink and breton stripes together so this just seemed like the perfect match!

Let me know what you guys think! Congrats to all of you who got your results last week!

Get in my wardrobe #22: Asos & Motel Rocks

In order to distract myself from the realities of results day tomorrow (arrgghhh) I spent the other morning browsing online and building my dream A/W wardrobe, even though I'm totally poor, and Asos are on form at the moment!! I absolutely need the lilac duster coat, marble skort and silk trousers in my life for next season…the tote bag would also be useful for university, if I get in that is!

Good luck to everyone getting their results tomorrow!

Part 1: Sugar Plum Fairy

Two piece - Oh My Love
Bracelet - Lure Boutique in Boston
Camera - eBay
Sunglasses - Unif via Nasty Gal
Necklace - Tesco
Scrunchie - eBay
Shoes - Topshop

This is the first part in a 'Three ways to wear' series I'm doing on this two piece from Oh My Love, which I bought off of the lovely Amy Bell (The Little Magpie) on depop. I've photographed this outfit as a two piece and then coming up will be looks featuring the two items as separates - this is such a versatile two piece and has definitely been my favourite purchase of summer!
The bracelet in this look also makes me ridiculously happy - it's pink, fluffy AND IT'S A SNAP BRACELET! Remember? The ones you had when you were a kid that start off poker straight and you have to slap them against your wrist to put them on…AND IT'S PINK AND FLUFFY! It honestly makes my life…

Come fly with me

Shorts - Asos
Cardigan - Primark
Sunglasses - Primark
Sliders - Primark
Necklace - Etsy
Bag - Zara
Nose cuff - River Island

Seeing as how I've been doing quite a bit of travelling this summer, I thought I would do something a bit different for today's post and show you the kind of outfit I wear when I fly. I like to keep it quite simple and comfy, but still look put together at the same time, so I kept the colours and accessories here fairly minimal but I really like the balance of the items together.
I originally bought this cardigan with the A/W months in mind, but it has served me so well this summer - it's perfect to throw on over shorts and a top and is great for covering your bum and making you feel a lot less conscious of your shorts riding up! It's also a great companion when flying as you can use it as a blanket when the air-con is on full blast and it also stops the grossness that is the backs of your legs sticking to the seats, which ya know, is a nice thing to avoid.
Usually I would belt these shorts but when going through airport security that just adds extra faff which I like to avoid, which is also the reason I'm wearing sliders - just keeping it super easy and chilled.

Pink with Gold Tips

False nails - Ted Baker

I just thought I'd quickly show you guys some false nails I've been wearing lately; I had a speedy two day turn around between getting home from Bulgaria and flying out to my Dad's in America so grabbed these to apply before I flew again. I'm not one to opt for gold, or short nails usually, so these were a bit different for me, but I really like the subtle effect of the rosy pink with the metallic gold, it just catches the light in a really pretty way when you move your hands. I also have a 14 month old baby brother here in the US so I thought this length would be more appropriate for playing with him, I really didn't want to be worried about poking his eye out with one of my talons! So yes, as much as I have missed my super long falsies, these have served me well. On another note however, the glue they come with is totally useless, I would recommend purchasing the Elegant Touch Brush on Nail Glue separately so that they really last nicely!

Marshmallow

Jumper - Goodwill
Shorts - Primark
Bracelet (worn as headband) - Lure (small boutique in Boston)
Rings (l-r) - ebay, TheJewelleryPeople, Lumafina, shopDixi, vintage
Nails - Impress Manicure

The fact that I look like a pink and white marshmallow in this outfit makes me quite happy. I'm so glad I found this baby pink turtleneck in Goodwill (watch my haul video here), it's such a 'me' item and I love that I won't see anyone else with one like it. I paired the jumper with my glittery lilac sunglasses of dreams from Crap Eyewear, my silver platforms and a fluffy pink headband to create a cute pastel look that really encapsulates my summer style, i.e. explosion in a My Little Pony Factory.

I finally got round to doing one of these again! I love that I'm seeing more and more bloggers sharing their favourites at the moment and really spreading the love - isn't that what this community is all about? Anyways, most of my favourite posts this month have come from my usual top bloggers, so if you have any suggestions of new blogs I might enjoy please leave them below! I'm always on the lookout for different blogs to read.
