Pierce me please...

Images from tumblr

I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I love ear piercings like the ones above - there's something eerily beautiful about them and I think they can be edgy in a simple, delicate way. It's not that I want my ear to resemble some form of sieve but I currently have my lobes done twice on both ears and I've managed to persuade my mum to let me have 2 extra piercings of my choice. I'd love to get my tragus done (first and second photo) with a stud in my left ear and then hopefully two cartilage piercings in my right  - I just haven't quite decided the positioning yet. I like wearing ear cuffs on my left ear so a high cartilage piercing on my right side might look a little odd...hmmm decisions....

Do you have any ear piercings? What do you think of my ideas?
I'd love to know what you all think :)

I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose...fire away, fire away

Top - Topshop
Shorts - Omen Eye
Rings (L-R) - Topshop, Primark, Aldo and gift from Mum.
Bracelet - Pandora

I'm feeling quite good at the moment, I had a history exam this morning and I think it went well...history papers are my favourites as they make me feel like an expert and I find them really interesting to write...yep..I'm that cool. So it's just 2 science exams next week and then I'm done for a few months, it'll be nice not having something school related to stress over for a while!
Recently I've been thinking a lot about my future and finally made a decision on the options I'd like to take for A-level - Modern history, Physics, Chemistry, Photography and French A2. I've got my head set on these now but the college I planned on going to won't be able to fit these subjects together in a timetable...so last Thursday I spent my lunchtime applying for a different college in the city, a larger sixth form on a university campus that will cater to my options. I applied the day before the deadline and I've not even looked around, but I'm swaying more and more towards the idea now; it'll be a big change and I'll have to leave all my friends, but I'd like to be more independent and the facilities there are so much better...the extra-curricular options are really cool, plus, I'd get full use of the Student Union and grabbing a Starbucks during free periods fills my mind with iconic images straight out of American movies...

I hope you're all having a great Monday!

Dream#1 - Travel around Europe...

Prague - Paris
Amsterdam - Almalfi Coast

At the moment I feel like I'm in a constant day dream about my future, it seems now I'm making more decisions about what I want to do and although I'm still unsure about my career, I know there's some things I definitely want to achieve in my life. I feel a lot more in control now I'm making these decisions, it's exciting and I also feel a lot better knowing what I want...
A lot of people dream about taking a year out and travelling around the world and I always thought I wanted this too - I would love to visit certain places in Asia, Africa and Australia but the idea of trekking around for a year, unable to shower and cutting my hair short because I'm living out of my backpack isn't really appealing to me...I know there'd be so much to see and experience but my heart belongs to Europe. Its many capital cities and beautiful architecture are like scenes straight out of a fairytale - I know it's far from cheap but I love the languages, the history, the fashion, the food and the cultures. I'm fascinated by the idea of taking a year out after my A-levels and travelling around the continent, my grandparents have been giving me savings bonds every year since I was young so I'm planning on taking these out and putting them towards my travels when I'm 18 - you can buy European rail passes that pretty much let you travel anywhere in Europe over and over again in a set time period...I'd just need places to stay...

I'd just want to explore and see it all, but some places top my wishlist...

Milan - Paris - Prague - Amsterdam - The Almalfi Coast
Berlin - The Plitvice Lakes, Croatia - Venice - Barcelona

Would you recommend anywhere in particular?
Do you have dreams of travelling? :)

Get in my wardrobe #4

Shirt - River Island
Nail Art Pens - Topshop
Necklace - Regal Rose
T-shirts - Topshop
Skirt - River Island
Ear Cuff - Topshop

There's a bit of a colour theme going on in this post! I absolutely love shades of lilac, pale blue and pink in any form - they definitely draw me to an item and I guess that's reflected here!
The ear cuff and white nail art pen I actually bought this week so I'm kinda cheating...but I love them nonetheless and wanted to show them to you all :)
Last year I spent ages searching for a burnout t-shirt for spring/summer - I finally found a purple and a black one in Tesco (believe it or not) ! I snapped them up, but this year I'm so glad to see Topshop selling them in a great range of colours, the pale blue is my absolute favourite - albeit not quite matching Tesco's lovely low prices...
The skirt would add something different to my wardrobe, I never really wear them and it would be nice to try something new - I think it would look cute with a simple top and a pile of accessories, however River Island sizing is often too big for me so I shall have to see :)
Moving onto the other River Island piece in this post - this shirt was featured in the press release for Spring/Summer and I can't wait for them to actually release it! I am in love with the collar embellishments, they're a simple addition but they look so dainty and pretty!

You and I, we were born to die...

Top - Realitee at Topshop
Shorts - Iridescent
Bracelet - Pandora
Crystal Necklace - Urban Outfitters
Wishbone Necklace - Macys

I'm hoping to deliver on my New Year' Resolutions this time and actually do more outfit posts! I really wanted my blog to focus on these and now having my new camera makes such a difference to the quality and ease of taking pictures - I've also found a good background in my house! It's all a bit of a christmas miracle, so here's to many more regular outfit posts!
I just want to start by saying that I'm in love with these shorts! The studs are applied by hand and with a bit of distress on the denim and extra length on the back to cover your bum, they're perfect - I can't wait to see any other designs Amy will come up with at Iridescent! I have my eye on the light denim shorts with the round studs...they'd be awesome for summer. I thought I'd team these studded shorts with a new favourite t-shirt of mine, it's quite simple but I've been looking for something like it for ages and it goes with everything!
Getting to wear new clothes that I bought/received over the holidays to college is actually going to be a highlight of my week...I have 2 English exams (one on Friday 13th!!), a possible french mock and my maths exam results will be given out on Thursday...oh the joy.

I hope you're all having a great week!

2012!

I just thought I'd share my new year's resolutions with you all - I hope to make my blog more successful this year and I've got some new post ideas that are slightly different to the norm :)

The urge to colour this in is really getting to me... Taken from Rust&Petals tumblr

1. Take more photographs and learn how to use my new camera properly.
2. Sort out my A-level options and hopefully decide to some extent what I want to do with my life.
3. Get the results I want in my GCSEs and not consider myself a failure if I get an A in something...
4. Post more frequently and do more outfit posts (I have 2 currently saved as drafts - woo progress!)
5. Buy items of clothing that are versatile and will last - not ones I like for a month and never wear again.
6. Draw and paint more.
7. Make my blog less superficial and be a better twitterer..er.
8. Have fun and love my boyfriend, friends and family more than ever...n'awww.
9. Be healthy - this isn't really a resolution as it's out of my control, but I'm hoping the worst of my illnesses were left in 2011 :)

Wishing you all an amazing 2012!

New Camera!!

Arghhh I got a new camera for Christmas! I'm so excited, it's my new baby and I can't wait to learn more about it and get better at taking photos :) It's a Panasonic Lumix GMC- D3, I really wanted a camera with an articulated LCD so I could take photos of myself easily for the blog and hopefully create more successful outfit posts. I am in love, even if I don't necessarily understand all the buttons at the moment..haha! Thank you Dad and Andrea! :D
