Just thought I'd share some of my recent nail looks with you all, my nails feature quite heavily on my instagram (username ellenatlanta) but I always forget to show them on my blog! I'll try and do so more in future…

If you'd like to know how I do my nails, it's all explained here!

Get in my wardrobe #23: The Birthday List

High neck jumper - ASOS
Silver boots - ASOS
Black strappy heels - New Look
Pink and Blue two-tone coat - River Island
Make up brush set - Crown Brushes
Naked 2 Basics Palette - Urban Decay
Metal heel boots - Jeffrey Campbell via Nasty Gal

It's my birthday in 2 and a half weeks!!! Eeeek! If you haven't already guessed, I'm quite excited.

These items are essentially my birthday list - Asos are absolutely killing it at the moment, I could create an entire wishlist on their site alone and the lilac high neck jumper and silver boots are just perfect.
The Jeffrey Campbell ankle boots are something I've been lusting after since they were released. I love the pointed toe and the metallic heel, they're so on-trend for A/W and different from anything else I've seen in the shops, I keep thinking how cute they'd look with black skinnies and a big jumper.

What's on your wishlist?

Boy meets Girl

Coat - Primark
Top - Brandy Melville
Shorts - American Eagle Outfitters
Shoes - Primark
Phone case - Primark
Bag - Zara

Just a quick outfit post for today, I wanted to show you all some of the things I've purchased recently, starting with the coat, shoes and phone case from Primark. I almost bought this coat in the cream, despite the fact that the colour wasn't really me, I loved the texture and at £25 for a thick winter jacket it was an absolute bargain. I'm so glad I didn't though because lo and behold the week I moved to London they stocked Oxford Street with a whole range of different colours! Typically, I had to get the lilac/grey (quelle surprise) although I also love the pink version and if I wasn't a poor student, would probably have bought both.
These shoes are something quite different for me, I've always appreciated the look of chunky, menswear inspired shoes on other girls but never thought I could pull it off. However, when I clocked these patent babies were in Primark for £12, I just went for it and grabbed a pair; I do still find them quite hard to style, but I always enjoy pushing myself out of my comfort zone and I'm quite happy with how this look turned out.
Just in time for Halloween, my new phone case is essentially a £3 mermaid costume for my phone…it's iridescent green/blue/lilac/pink and I laaaave it!

Last but not least, I bought this super soft striped tee from Brandy Melville last week when I met up with Ellie from helloellenor - I can't wait to show you guys the photos that we did together!

Tattoo Inspiration: Crescent Moons and Florals

If meeting new people at university has taught me anything it's that I want to be more like the kind of person I'm drawn to, more like the kind of people who fascinate me. Small or beautiful looking tattoos play a part in that and were something I found myself gravitating towards during the many welcome sessions we were placed in. I don't think I'd ever get anything as large as some of these images, but sometimes I wish I wasn't my usual cautious self and that I would. For now, these images are a starting point for my inspiration - I think the designs are perfect, but size and placement is something that I'm not fully set on. More than ever, I'm now completely certain that tattoos are something I want, and something I want to enjoy whilst I'm young - just some small pieces in places that I can either cover easily or that you just catch a glimpse of as I move.
So yes, one more thing added to the bucket list!

She wears, He wears: The Bear Hug Company

On me:

Blazer - Forever 21
Socks - Primark
Boots - River Island
Crystal Necklace - The Serpents Club
Silver Necklace - Forever 21
Bag - Topshop

On Joe:

Jeans - H&M
Shoes - Converse

I've wanted to do a post like this for a while now, I love seeing other bloggers' boyfriends join in on the action and when The Bear Hug contacted me I knew they'd be the perfect brand for me and Joe to collaborate with. Their range of unisex designs are right up both of our streets with the unique graphics designed by Luke Dixon, we honestly had a difficult time choosing which designs to go for, Joe especially still has a few designs on his wishlist!

What do you think of this style of post?

Sun, Moon and Stars

Cardigan - Primark
Boots - River Island
Bag - Zara
Belt - Goodwill

Yaaay! I finally found a cool background near my flat (which just so happens to be the outside of one of London's biggest nightclubs hehe) and friends who are willing to take photos of me awkwardly posing! I was desperate to find somewhere to take outfit photos because last week the lovely ladies at Motel Rocks contacted me asking to collaborate (and obviously I jumped at the opportunity). Motel have been one of my favourite brands for a while now, they're always offering something different to the usual highstreet stores and I absolutely love this print, I already have a crop top with the sun, moon and stars on it and the baby doll style is something a bit different for me. I love the relaxed look of this style as well as the fact that you can easily cinch it in at the waist with a belt to add shape.

What do you think of this look?
